No one other than the Conservatives wanted to go to Iraq, none of them support abolishing gay marriage (on the party level, at least), I would guess that a LARGE proportion of them are socially left-leaning (though, not wanting to go through every single elected person's profile, I can't give you a for-sure figure on that).
Yes, Harper's 'in power', where 'in power' means 'will have to grovel to Gilles Duceppe, whose party he hates, and who equally disagrees with Harper, to get anything done'.
