My stepmother is a tool with a capital T.

See, since she started working here three days a week, she's brought the dog in. Daisy is a rather large dog, being a golden lab, and is rather loud. She won't attack, but she will jump up on you a lot. Keltie (Darrell's golden retriever) is less bouncy and loud but will still jump on people.

I try and call the dogs back when people come in, but she's just like, "I used to try and stop them, but now I don't even bother. Why should I save these big grown men about the dogs?"

...yeah, because no one's ever had an irrational fear of dogs before.

Not to mention the fact that the dog severely needs training. I should be able to say "Down!" and have it be obeyed (Keltie does, Daisy does not).

No wonder the dog is a spaz. *growl*

That said... I'm done most of my work that I can finish for the time being, so I am slacking off online. Woo~.

Yeah:

Also, my first thought was: Why the hell was she allowed to bring a dog into the work environment in the first place? I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure you work in some kind of office, and I don't believe this office/business really has anything to do with animals (aside from, perhaps, other coworkers).

Seems to me your stepmother abused some kind of 'I am part of the family that owns this place' priviledges in order to bring the dog in all the time.

I really don't like it when dogs aren't well controlled. I still have some fear of large, intimidating, and/or boisterous dogs as a result of having a Doberman pinscher living across the walkway from me when I was really little, and I would NOT like having a big untrained golden retriever jumping at me.
