Pat rented Sims 2.

AAAAARGH.

The Thomas/Vicki/Jake house isn't doing well. (Vicki and Jake are Thomas' kids, for purposes of humor ;) Neither of the teens can hold down a part-time job, because they REFUSE TO STUDY and are NEVER HAPPY.

Kind of like the real ones.

Thomas is freaking out because he wants nothing more than his children to be happy and to make money himself, but because they're so poor, they can't afford wallpaper in half the rooms.

Amy, meanwhile, is on the Romance Track... and is classified as a Cold Fish, because she's so bitchy that no one will sleep with her. HER kids (Imago and Aaron) are constantly fighting and... oy vey. It's a mess.

Meanwhile, the Exalted household (Danielle, Ba'ne, Lena and Tavis) is doing reasonably well, but I think they're going to have to hire a nanny for Danielle and Ba'ne's baby soon. As for Lena and Tavis, they're the best of friends!

And Danielle is miserable because Ba'ne won't flirt anymore, and Ba'ne is miserable because Danielle is trying to sleep around.

My theory is that you get the opposite of what your Aspiration track desires. I try making a really friendly, sociable person who wants Popularity - no one likes him. Same with Romance.

But if I make a character whose only Aspiration is Knowledge? People are banging down her door at all hours, calling her all the time... *sigh*
