First TV show I had self-insertion fantasies about:

Sailor Moon! *G* This will also follow for the roleplaying, because pretty much the first thing I did was find a BSSM online RPG. Also where I met sae, who is also I think one of the first fellow fans I met from afar. And theeternalmind too. :D

Pairing in the first (m/m) slash fanfiction I read:

This is tough because I was *mumbletymumble* when I first started reading fic and that was more than half my life ago (yes, I know, I was too young to be reading it but whatever). THE POINT IS. I STARTED EARLY AND READ LOTS.

I don't think BSSM fandom had much m/m slash to go around - so many women, so little time - although I suppose it COULD have been Mamoru/Fiore. My guess, though, is that it was probably Touya/Yukito (Yue) fic from Card Captor Sakura. That's what's immediately coming to mind.

I couldn't even tell you the first f/f but I'm willing to put good money on Haruka/Michiru.

First RPS/RPF I read:

First fanfiction I read that made me think, YES, this is exactly the kind of fanfiction I'd like to write:

I don't even remember. I mean, I started writing fic pretty early on, but usually self-inserts or ridiculous meta-commentary on RPs I was in (hi, hakaisya! hi! *waves*) so... I have no idea.

Well, I was *mumble*teen, so most of it was not ultra-romance? But Haruka and Michiru were definitely featured as a couple.

Haruka/Michiru. Also probably the impetus for "oh hey, I'm kinda not straight" and my haircuts for like a decade.

First fannish friend I met in person:

I believe sae? Could also have been Marc. That's not counting friends I had who were fans and that's part of why we were friends (hakaisya!)

Princess Kakyuu, in her accidentally-I-don't-even-remember-why genderswapped Prince Kage form.

Ah, no, that was just the first character I ever roleplayed. Sadly no pictures, although there was a drawing by sae once upon a time. :D First cosplay would probably be Xelloss. :3

But yes, I remember that, you and me meeting via our respective Sailormoon fandom-ness! Are you still in contact with Mars? I lost touch with her ages ago... It's crazy to think you and I are still talking after all that time, really. Most of the friends I had when I was that age, I've long since lost touch with.

But no I'm serious I think it was Yaten's fault. He... like... got magicked or something and was feeble and something was up with the other Starlights and so Kakyuu's urge to PROTECT HER SENSHI made her unintentionally flip. And then she could not go back.

I also have record somewhere of blaming Kakyuu angsting about Yaten for being totally the reason I fell in love with Seiya (who is, for the record, still the best. :D) because THAT totally makes sense.
