In the end, seduced Zevran, Alastair, and Leilana, had Alastair impregnate Morrigan, saved the world, and PROMPTLY GOT DITCHED BY ALL MY COMPANIONS EXCEPT THE DRUNK DWARF. WHAT THE HELL.

I mean, even Alastair - who was like YEAH! I TOTALLY LOVE YOU BABE LET US MAKE SNARKY YET SWEETLY SHY COMMENTS AT EACH OTHER was like "I'm heading off for Tevinter, catch you when I get home." After three years of adventuring and fearing we would be killed by dragons, I DON'T LIKE SURPRISES.

And THEN Patrick tells me that Alastair, if you make him king, if you are not a female human noble and even if he is in love with you, will THROW YOU OVER FOR ANORA. WHAT THE FUCK. Oh my god, I am so ENRAGED by that. You have no idea. It was like a sick sucker punch. I was like but TRUE LOVE and Pat was like "no, sorry."

But... but...!

Also, can I just say how ridiculous it is that Zevran, who is like the biggest slut in the world (and I love him) is like OH NOES ALASTAIR'S FEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELINGS? Fuck that.

Uh... yeah, I totally loved the game, it just kind of broke my heart a little there.

Seven weeks to DA2?

Oghren is a bit flatly characterized.

Sten is actually my picture perfect idea of a dwarf.

Actually, if you "harden" Alistair and make him king, you can still be his mistress. You just have to persuade him into it.

... I am on my ninth playthrough. IT IS A SICKNESS.

Stay away from her. You might infect her.

On my very first playthrough (Dalish Elf, still my fav origin) I just put Anora on the throne and ran off with Alistair. Of course, this was a long time before Awakening came out, so I didn't get the "WTF WHERE IS EVERYONE WHY AM I STUCK WITH OGHREN?!" feeling right away. ;D

I didn't harden Alistair my first time either, definitely a ton of sidequests that went un-done. XD I am better about that now, although there are so many that even though I practically have the freaking game memorized now, I still forget some every time.

I already pre-ordered DA2, but I am very disappointed that the dwarf and elf options aren't available in it. I like the elves (and, yes, even the dwarves)! Also apparently in DA2 the elves are gonna have Welsh accents. o.o So that will be mildly weird.

Liar. Dwarf Noble is best origin.

It is definitely up there on the list, but I adore the Dalish Elf anyway. XD The only origin I'm not a huge fan of is the mage origin. Just kind of disappointing when all the other origins are so rife with drama. But then, I'm a weird person who finds Jowan ear-piercingly annoying, as opposed to cute, so having to deal with him the whole time was probably the kicker.

I KNOW RIGHT. Every time Jowan speaks I want to punch him. HE'S SUCH A WHINY LITTLE GIT. "WAH MY LIFE SUCKS I'M GONNA BECOME A BLOOD MAGE WAAAAAAHHHHHHH"

I'm hoping I like the second game more.

First, I really liked Alistair, and the voice acting in the game is fucking top notch. I liked the concept of the grey wardens. I loved the summon bacon ritual in the mage tower. I loved the conversations your party would have between themselves.

Some of it was gameplay. I was meh about the combat; I was meh on buying skills other than fighting and persuade; I hated levelling the mages; I didn't like the inventory system; I didn't like having a mute main character.

Also, I just didn't get sucked into the story. I might have sabotaged myself a bit by the way I played. Maybe I would have enjoyed it more if I'd alienated and kicked out Morrigan? Because telling everyone on my team whatever they would respond best to so they'd stick around really made me feel like my character was a collection of stats guiding the real heroes around...

Canonically, it goes Awakening, Golems, Witch Hunt. So do it in that order.
