Dear Heroes,

*ahem*

DADDY ISSUES DADDY ISSUES DADDY ISSUES

God, have all the writers got Oedipus complexes over there?

Don't answer that.

And don't assume I'm complaining.

Love,
Alex

Dear Parkman,

Look, dude, I hate you. I've always hated you. But you better man up and fast, or I won't just be calling you Molly's Bad Daddy in jest.

On the other hand, do good by her and I might see it in me to let up on my UNRELENTING HATE.

Love Best regards in your future endeavors,
Alex

Dear Jeremy,

Please to be getting a LiveJournal.

Dear JKR.,

What, I go away from the internet for a weekend and you SPRING THIS ON THE WORLD? What am I, chopped liver?

P.S. I totally love you.

Love,
Alex

Dear World,

Christ, stop being so cynical about the JKR news. It's not only annoying, it makes me think less of you. :P

Or am I just one of the naive few that still believes that she doesn't just do it for the hype?

Saddened by your cynicism, since goddamnit I'M supposed to be the cynical one,
Alex

I don't think she does it for the hype either. I thought she did it to be honest with a group of people that would keep asking her who Dumbledore loved until she spilled the beans.

and I've gotten into a habit of calling them Papa Parkman and Mama Mohinder.

well that, and knowing that she put a note in the script for the 6th movie saying "Dumbledore wouldn't say that, he's gay," you know if she didn't out him someone in Hollywood would have.

Oddly, 3 of the articals I've seen on this (out of the Bijillion out there on the internet) I saw the typo saying that Dumbledore in the movies was played by Richard Harris and then Ian McKellen following the death of Harris. As awesome as Ian McKellen would be to play a gay wizard, that's not him in the movies. >_<

And Mama Mohinder just rolls off the tongue so well.

I totally agree with you on JKR. Don't people realize that a writer with a strong sense of her characters, especially one who spent seventeen years writing about them, will have details about them in her mind that just never become relevant enough to the stories to put them in the books (especially if the books are already a bit too long)? Plus, revealing Dumbledore's sexuality before people had read the whole series would've screwed up people's ability to take the books as they are.

But we always assume that you're complaining.

And Parkman is awesome.
