Heroes interview. D.L., Nathan, and Parkman in a bed together. Fuckin' hilarious.

It gets kind of boring in the middle if you have no idea who his wife is (I correctly guessed from clues that she is one of the Dixie Chicks, namely Natalie Maines) - they spend an inordinate amount of time talking about her win at the Grammys - but then sweeps back into total hilarity for the end. Highly recommended ;)

AND, because I don't want to post a bajillion times in rapid succession (oops), here's my latest two books:

11. Time Management for the Creative Person, Lee Silber

I gotta say... the only difference I see between this book and most time management/goal-setting books I've read is that Lee suggests using colorful items, pictures, and other visual stimuli to help you want to do things. He also suggests a lot of delegation, and being OK with not getting everything done (and leaving the little stuff until last, generally). The book seems to start from the base assumption that the reader is overwhelmed with what they are doing and can't find time to be creative, rather than feeling unable to use that time effectively. The problems with time management that I commonly have - lack of energy (and a lack of will to put out crap to get to the good stuff) only gets a few brief nods, and generally have lines like "do your most important stuff at high-energy times" (I don't have those) and "don't be a perfectionist" (OK... how?) and "don't be negative" (again, how?).

It might work for someone who is overburdened. For me, it didn't address the problem at all.

12. How To Behave: A Guide to Modern Manners for the Socially Challenged, Caroline Tiger

I'm pretty sure the second half of each piece of advice given is tongue-in-cheek. If not, Americans are WAY more pushy than Canadians! Even reading the "what to do about aggressive offenses against manners" made me cringe. Impoliteness as a means to battle impoliteness? Yick.

Still, amusing.

Thank you for the books, Kenny! I'll start working on the Canadian films one now. :D

Currently reading: Queer Fear II (queer horror stories - thank you Serena! :D), still trying to plow through Kathy Acker (is it bad that she's making more AND less sense as I go on?), Dresden Files 2, Canadian Dreams

The think I like the most about Heroes is how everyone involved in making the show seems as excited about it as I am.

I'm glad that you're putting them to good use. :)

I have some more I found. Would you like "Great Jobs for Film Majors"?
