Music:
Loitering Heroes at Tranzac (292 Brunswick Ave.), November 21; show starts at 10PM, they'll probably be on after 11PM
Sketch Comedy:
Accidental Company with Approximately Three Peters at the Bad Dog Theatre (138 Danforth), November 28. Not sure what time, since BDT actually lists them as being on the 26th, but... the time there is 8PM. Will update this when Brian does.

Date: 2006-11-17 05:51 am (UTC)It depends on a few factors: what time will the events get out, and how far are they from a transit line I use?

Date: 2006-11-17 06:10 am (UTC)How do you get home from downtown Toronto normally?
You also have the option of crashing on my futon. I have a sleeping bag.

Date: 2006-11-17 06:13 am (UTC)And I don't think my grandmother would approve of me staying out just to go see shows. :/
So, in the end: I might hit up Tranzac, depending (depends how wiped I am from Gilda's and how much more Nanoing I have to do), but probably not the comedy show.

Date: 2006-11-17 06:21 am (UTC)The Spadina to Yorkdale subway ride is 20 minutes or so, and the walk from the Tranzac to the Spadina subway station would be under 10.
I may end up working on Wednesday, because there was a party I wanted to go to on Saturday, so I'm going to try to switch my Saturday shift with the other Pizza Hut CSR's Wednesday shift. I'd be done work at 9, so if you're going to the Tranzac, call me around 9:30?

Date: 2006-11-17 06:25 am (UTC)She does a LOT of things that I find REALLY REALLY CREEPY.
Spadina to Kipling would be my route, and then north. And it's always a worry that I might not catch the final bus out. The route usually doesn't take that long - maybe half an hour each way? - but there's also the fact that my grandmother wants me to be in by midnight. -_- Which I had... forgotten. (That's what happened LAST time I went out. GAH!)
21st is the Tuesday. :) Does that help you out at all?

Date: 2006-11-17 06:39 am (UTC)I would go batshit crazy if I had to live with a relative who had rules about when I had to be in. I mean, house rules motivated by her waking up easily if you came in late would be sort of understandable (just really really inconvenient), but just thinking she's responsible for you is...ick. It drove me crazy that my parents didn't treat me like an adult when I was 18-20 and living at home -- presumably at 22, it would be even worse. My parents didn't even stay up and wait for me to come home, although I don't think my dad slept very well until I was in. I wasn't usually out later than they were up, though, because they usually drove me home from the GO station.
For some reason I was thinking the 21st was the Wednesday. I am definitely working on the Tuesday, and it's also until 9, so what I said before would still apply :). Also, I didn't realize you're going west -- in that case, going to Bathurst station would make more sense than Spadina. It'd be two blocks west, I think -- probably 7 minutes' walk.

Date: 2006-11-17 06:51 am (UTC)My family is kind of paranoid about crime in Toronto too. They don't really like the idea of me walking alone at night, even though I do it all the time and it's kind of necessary. My dad is kind of safety-crazed though. I've been out at 5 am after hanging out at Spicy's late, though, and I've been fine. I've never been in really bad areas late, and I try to have a little common sense about where I go when -- I walk on the west side of Yonge at night, because the strip clubs are on the east ;).
I got your email. Thanks :). I'll email you my cell in case you don't have it. (It's my only number.)
