Newsflash for me:
I need to earn $13/hour, 40 hours/week, 15 weeks this summer to meet tuition.
And that's assuming I get a job starting Monday of next week, AND assuming that I spend $0 on doing anything for myself, including going to Waterloo, hanging out with friends at places that require money, or hell, buy myself a candy bar once in a while.
What the hell.

Date: 2006-05-02 04:24 pm (UTC)Well, college here is, as far as I can tell, across-the-board cheaper than it is over there! (To give you an idea, even living in the most expensive rental place in Waterloo, my total costs for the year, minus food, was under $10,000 CDN. From what I understand, even the more expensive places don't go much higher than $15,000 for tuition + board at the bachelor level, unless you're going for something really special like Aviation.)
Thanks :)

Date: 2006-05-02 05:26 pm (UTC)Also: You realize that approximately 22.5% of what you earn gets sucked away from taxes, right? So if Humber intuition is indeed costing you $7,800, you're actually going to need to find a job that pays about $17/hour.
I'll send you an email this afternoon, hopefully, and give you a rundown of my experience with temp agencies. Hopefully that'll help.
