*giggles* Weren't there though? I dunno, Inara/Mal might be as close to canon as there is, and Kaylee/Simon is cute!!, but I like Inara/Kaylee all the same ;)
He's not so bad on the chorus, but yeah, he goes aaaalll over the place on the verses. I don't blame him, it's a song that you really need the music to help you sing.
