I assume that's a pseudonym she gives him on the internet. I'm betting her real name isn't "Birdie" either (though I wouldn't disbelieve it either).

From what I can tell, she refers to her kids by their age, rather than their names. I read the full post, and followed a link to another Trek related entry, and the number describing this child was different.

So, you're quite right... Pseudonym it is.
