Well, Round Two instructions are out.

No word if we're allowed to show our synopses, so I'm going to err on the safe side and not say beyond the general... it involves diablerie. ;)

Length: up to 4000 words
Also, a revised synopsis of 1000 words (formerly 250), going more into the actual plot of the novel.

In all fairness, I made those comments on Min's LJ because I was actually slightly confused by his 'second 75%' thing.

But, I'll conceed: I mentioned your third O for the sake of a) killing time at work, and b) being a jerk. For the latter, I am sorry. I should really get out of that habit.

You can show it to other people as long as they are not publishers and it is not in a public venue. So basically email to the friends who are interested in reading the synopsis.

I'm not sure if regular publishing will cover it, since they had us include a waiver in the e-mail with the synopsis. I guess I'll just play my cards close to my hand for now.

A waiver sounds right, especially with it being a competition.

My friend who is an author as well as an editor has dealt with many assortment of publishing quandries. She also at one point was running her own successful publishing business that she sold so she could have more time to write. :) She is a font of knowledge. :)
