Things I Hate This Morning
Jul. 29th, 2004 10:08 amAnd now, for the Thursday edition of Things I Hate!
I'm sure I could think of more, but those are just the things bugging me this morning...
- Bees.
Or wasps, or hornets. One flew up to me this morning, buzzing around my chest and I made a squealy frightened noise and tried to dodge into traffic to avoid it. Then it went towards my ear, so I bolted. - Fruit flies.
They're all around right now, because all I eat at work is fruit and yogurt. Dumping out my garbage can doesn't work, either - the dumpster is full of them, too, and they follow me back. I think I spend more time crushing the damn things than working. - Microsoft Excel.
I hate doing price lists, I hate spreadsheets, and I hate that I can't figure out the trick to keeping one variable... er... invariable, while changing another. Typing =C#*D3 and =C#*E3 forty-odd times is getting to me. Six pages to go. - Any hour prior to 11 AM.
I might be generous and say 10 AM is also OK, but anything before 9 AM is evil. And I get up at 7:15. Hate. - Unnecessary air conditioning.
It's 18 degrees outside, there is NO reason to have the air conditioning on the bus set to sub-zero temperatures. I couldn't sleep even when I put my sweater on, that's how cold it was.
I'm sure I could think of more, but those are just the things bugging me this morning...

Date: 2004-07-29 08:44 am (UTC)I hate early mornings as well, although only if I wake up for no good purpose. My dad woke me up at 8am today just so that I could do some meager things before they left today. As soon as they left I went right back to sleep until now.
And the a/c on public transportation is ridiculious. I only have been on it once lately but it sure was cold in comparison to outside (which wasn't even hot). Maybe the bus driver is Ice Man or something. :p

Date: 2004-07-29 09:04 am (UTC)I wish I could go back to sleep! I sometimes consider it when no one's in the office... Dad has a couch in his office. But I never do. Don't want to get caught.
I know. They're all menopausal or something XO

Date: 2004-07-29 02:44 pm (UTC)I'm finding that "working for a living" is highly overrated.
