So! LARP on Saturday was amusing. I'm going to have endless amounts of fun defending Januarius from the accusations of Sabbat allegiance. Watch me whip myself up into a righteous fury! Oh, the entertainment will be sweet. And Januarius might die. That would suck, we need the asylums...

But the arguments are so circumstantial that they form a sort of hole-filled hula hoop around Winter without ever directly touching him. I'm not worried just yet.

I look forward to this.

Harold and Kumar review - I really want to see that movie.

In other movie news, we went to see The Bourne Supremacy* last night. Fun! Definitely a good movie, though I wouldn't see it twice for any reason other than Julia Stiles.

*Edit because I had a brain fart. Thanks, Steph.

I was like "Why is Shamus going through all this rigamarole?"

WILL ATHERTON'S THOUGHT FLOWCHART
regarding accusations leveled at Januarius Carter
by Sheriff Shamus Kirkpatrick
  • What is Januarius guilty of?
  • Why doesn't the sheriff come out and say anything directly? (Goodness, not even Cyrus Marks is this bad at getting to the point.)
  • Is Januarius "officially" troublesome?
    • YES: Do something about it.
    • NO: then he's "unofficially" troublesome; keep unofficial surviellance on him
  • Is the Sheriff's reputation good enough to float his hunch about Januarius, once he settles on one, without proof?
    • YES: go to previous question.
    • NO: hatch plans to replace Sheriff.
  • Was this worth the last five minutes of my time?
    • YES: Return to first step, and return to this question in five minutes.
    • NO: Start condemning people randomly.
Harold and Kumar looks like a lot of fun. I love stoner movies.

Yeah, Will has a flowchart. Very analytical, that man. Most of that analysis is devoted to: "If I get high on heroin, will I be too trippy to deal with the crisis de la soirée?"

Everything sounds so darned worldly in French...

My arguement the entire night was... "yes, Januarius is Crazy, yes hes a dick, okay hes also a psycopath that likes to hurt people if they cross him slightly. This all makes him, REALLY crazy...but not SABBAT!!" Jeez..

Right, so he's not Eeeeevil.

I figure if the scene lasted longer it would be a crucible as to what wins out -- the Sheriff's reputation, Januarius' unlife, or the third party... the strict interpretation of the law: Januarius can do what he likes as long as he ultimately doesn't break the six Traditions. This also applies to Shamus as well. The latter's mistake is making this an official matter instead of just doing something about it on his own and off the record. (Even well-trumped-up charges might have been better.)

I do wish Januarius would figure out that filling airtime with his own voice (because "people aren't doing anything!") doesn't spur others to do anything. It just fills the air with his own voice.
