Actually, brought to you by White Wolf, 80's fantasy movies, and the science fiction and fantasy book industry.
It is a great unfairness in life that I get 40 pounds of books... at the end of the summer. ;)
Still, it was much fun, people seemed to enjoy swimming, we watched 10 Things I Hate About You (love! and it was one of my presents), and then we played Cranium and Psychologizer, which was entertaining but probably a better game with fewer people.
Much fun, and many pictures were taken. :D So as soon as those are up on Mei's website, I will be sure to show you all what I look like when being cuddled by Mei and Katie and attempting to lick Katie in strategic locations. ;)
Oh, and the fact that I owe my soul to Simon:
On... er... Tuesday or so, Simon, Katie-my-sister and I are in Comic World. I am gleeing at the Exalted books, and I'm like, "psst, Simon, if you want to buy me the Dragon-Blooded book for my birthday..." and he's all like, "okay!" and my sister boggles. Because these are $40 books. And she wants one for her birthday ;) which isn't until October. I also giggle over "Chosen", the comic about Jesus, but I leave with nothing in hand.
Fast forward to my birthday, where Simons hands me my gift... which is a) way bigger than one book and b) has "Chosen" taped to the top. XD;
Yeah, so I am now the proud (and soulless) owner of The Dragon-Blooded, The Abyssals, The Lunars AND The Sidereals.
Yes, he got me all of them.
*boggle*
So that is why I owe SimonB not only my soul, but multitudes of prostitutes, as well.
(Steve also got me Vampire: the Requiem, hence why my birthday was sponsored in part by White Wolf. ;)
Anyway, seriously awesome birthday, and I am sooooooooo glad that most of you could make it *huggles!* Hopefully I'll see most of you again before the summer is out. And for those that weren't there, I hope I get to see you guys, too, and that you can live vicariously through Mei's photos.
EDIT: And Serena called me to wish me a happy birthday. From England! Now that's true love ;)
