Bored bored bored...
Jun. 11th, 2003 03:18 pmI think the icon for my life has gone to perpetually bored, and will remain there until such time as I return to my university roots.
(You don't have university 'roots', Alex.
Shuttup! I could have been transplanted!
So transplant back.
Dun like the soil here...
Whine, whine, whine.)
"You whine?"
"I don't whine?"
"You whine?"
"I don't whine?"
(Obviously, someone has been talking to an impostor.)
I can sort of understand why Serena likes Brampton better - closer to Toronto would be the first guess - but as I do not "party" in many senses of the word, can't go drink, and generally have no life, Toronto holds little appeal for me. (Outside of Kikiwai's, but even then.)
I wish it were Torcon. I wish it were Torcon for a few reasons:
1) Tanya Huff and Spider Robinson. Drool.
2) A chance to go somewhere and do something.
3) I wouldn't be working.
4) That would mean I'd have free time.
I'm tempted to go swimming when I get home, but it will be late when I do, and I suspect the pool is probably freezing. Also, swimming takes up energy that I must store so that I don't die of starvation. (Stupid empty fridge...)
I guess I could teach myself how to cook. Or learn about cars. Or practice piano. Or do something. Maybe I will. Maybe I'll finally sit down and write something worthwhile and complete.
Maybe I really do need to be back in Waterloo.
Brampton's a nice place to visit, but I don't want to live here.
Bored, bored, bored.
