"Even children understand symbols. I mean, they're not going to make a sculpture that manipulates negative space, symbolizing the conflict between man's spiritual side and animal side, no... but they will go [grabs a pen and holds it out] 'this is a Death Ray! Bang bang!' ............. I don't know why a Death Ray would go 'bang bang'. Not my kid."
"When I was in therapy... [pause] it's interesting, when I say that the reaction is usually "*gasp!*" or "well that explains a lot..."
Anyway, he was in therapy because he let people walk all over him, essentially. And he was having these dreams that ALWAYS featured vampires. "But there was one dream, where I woke up, and I didn't remember dreaming about vampires. I knew I'd been dreaming, but I didn't remember it was vampires. But my subconscious let me know... because I woke up with Elton John's "Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me" stuck in my head. Freaky, no?"
"So I was on the beach, and there was this boathouse, and inside were all sorts of vampires, kneeling as though in prayer... and so I nailed 'em. ....I STABBED them... (laughter) it's Monday, isn't it... oh, why is it Monday..."
"Intelligence mostly comes from what we learn. I mean, you could beat a six-year-old in chess easily. Unless he, like, eats your king."

-if you're in sensory deprivation long enough, you start to hallucinate?
