Well, well, well.
UofT finally sent me an acceptance... (yay!)
But, no money. As a matter of fact:
UofT: Nothing!
Waterloo: Nothing!
Western: $1000!
Boo. And since I'm DEFINITELY not going to Western... *sigh*
Okay, everyone, time for a show of hands. I don't care if you're not in Toronto or Ontario or even in CANADA, I want a vote: Waterloo or University of Toronto?
Both are for Psych, at Waterloo as an Arts and at UofT as a Life Science. And, both universities have Japanese language courses and anime clubs.
Waterloo Pros:
-Serena, Mei, Alan, Sean, Danny, etc. are in the area (lots of friends)
-Bubble Tea!
-Decent size of rooms
Cons:
-huge freaking campus
-don't like the room setup much
UofT Pros:
-right near Kat (or relatively so)
-can promote Yuricon (hurrah!)
-much better nightlife
-close to home
Cons:
-the only person I know there is Christy
-just as big or bigger than Waterloo, and just as confusing
As for expenses... no idea.
So! Everyone, answer! Or else!

And there's no guarantee I'll still be dating Simon at that point. ;p
.those.are.some.good...titles.
Oh wait. Never mind. Whew! Is it hot in here or am I just so *hot*?
Depends, how much money can you spend and can you afford to be however far away from home all the time?
I vote Toronto. I've actually heard it has a good Psych programme - Waterloo borrows Laurier's and shortens it by half a year.
... Fucking Math faculty. I want my letter from Waterloo, dammit!

Date: 2002-05-27 11:02 pm (UTC)Waterloo you have friends at, and at Toronto you will most DEFINITELY be a number. (You may be at Waterloo too, but... shorter numbers ;))
The best advice I got from Mr Lowens -- it doesn't matter where you go in Ontario really, unless you're applying for graduate studies in which case you want good reference letters so should find profs who can give you an edge (they went to that graduate school, are well known, etc.)

Date: 2002-05-28 08:39 pm (UTC).....but.....1vote for waterloo!
friends=less lonely! and less nitelife=no failure...no failure=no parental anger and revoking of funds for education!!
actually, loo isn't that big--smaller than brampton, and the school itself is smaller than western and u of t! but you wouldn't want a laurier sized high school either ^_~
loo is also only 45mins-1hr from brampton--same time as from toronto! so it's really not that far away, just quieter!
you wouldn't ditch your best friend, would you? O_O
