Oh, avoiding studying. It does wonders for your blogging.
That said, every few days I look at the 'post' link and I think to myself: I'd love to blog.
But what?
I feel regrettably uninteresting.
I could talk about school, I suppose. I'm heading into midterms for second term. According to pretty well everyone, this is going to be the hardest term (for a myriad of reasons, including but not limited to: new information that will form the basis for the following two terms, but that means a lot of stuff that doesn't necessarily make sense on its own; more memorization that you pretty much can't do anything but strictly memorize; and the first two terms are to weed out people who can't make it).
But no one wants to hear about, say, why I'm not studying my trigger point pain referral patterns, or what a trigger point is, or about assessments for vertebral artery compression, or histamine reactions.
But aside from these things, I'm not doing much. My life has pretty well condensed to school, Patrick, and the very occasional D&D game. (And my addiction to Echo Bazaar, Mafia Wars, and Vampire Wars.)
Although I did get the opportunity to almost single-handedly make Thanksgiving dinner for Pat's family. I made (cue the Epicurious linkfest) Caramelized-Shallot Mashed Potatoes, Sauteed Parsnips and Carrots with Honey and Rosemary, Green Beans with Garlic, Lemon, and Parsley, and Cranberry Sauce with Port and Dried Figs.
And for dessert, Apple Pie (with a different crust recipe).
The only things not homemade were the gravy and the ice cream.
It leaves me missing my own place... alas, I can't afford it. Maybe once Patrick gets a job (fingers crossed, he's looking hopeful for a couple right now), I can once again use the kitchen [rarely] to create gastronomic delights. :P
