about two years ago, my group did something similar, writing 'cut scenes' for their characters in between gaming sessions, while i'd fill in with some npc writing, giving them ooc info regarding things that were happening 'off camera'

it was a lot of fun, actually, and everybody enjoyed the ability to showcase their writing talents and expand on their characters
