The Omnivore's Hundred is a list of foods the gastronome Andrew Wheeler thinks everyone should try at least once.
The rules of the meme:
Bold those you have tried.
Strikethrough those you wouldn't eat on a bet.
Italicize any item you'll never eat again.
Asterisk any items you'd be interested in trying but have not yet.
Under line anything you don't know what it is.

Also, is it bad that the only things on that list that really made me go "Ewwww!" were thoroughly Western dishes (Poutine, Krispy Kremes)?

I could see Poutine being good comfort food if it's something you grew up with. Not being a huge fan of super-fatty foods, though (they make my stomach hurt), the thought of it just kind of...makes my stomach hurt. But then, I've been known to have a Big Mac meal on occasion despite the stomach-hurtyness, so who am I to judge. :D

I've never had that big an issue with weird foods (or weird stuff in general), I guess. But I was a bit nonplussed about all the curries. I don't mind curry, but I've never had the sort of "OMG CURRY!" experience that so many fans talk about. But then, I've never had an authentic British (ha! ha! See what I did there!) or Indian curry, so I'm reserving judgment.

Also, WTF is Kaolin? I looked up 'most everything on Wikipedia, but all my Google skills were turning up was some sort of mineral that didn't look very edible...must be a weird spelling or something.

Ah! I figured it out, thanks to digging up the original list: they are talking about the mineral kaolin. Apparently it's used for medicinal properties. Probably not that delicious, but hey.

63 may be something else, but it can definitely be a type of clay sometimes used in supplements for people on a "cleanse" diet.

In other words, eating dirt. XD
