Blame
Every word that you spit
from your lips
Holds another grain of shit,
it drips
But it fits, 'cause it rips
your decency away
It's not my fault
I won't take the blame
For something caused
By your personal shame
And though you still try
It's always the same
You'd lost from the start
There was never a game.
Every word that you spit
from your lips
Holds another grain of shit,
it drips
But it fits, 'cause it rips
your decency away
It's not my fault
I won't take the blame
For something caused
By your personal shame
And though you still try
It's always the same
You'd lost from the start
There was never a game.
I'm hoping:
Date: 2002-04-25 03:00 pm (UTC)The only problem I have with it is the last line of the first stanza, which sort of sits apart from the rest of the poem, not only by sound, but by intent. It completes the thought, but it somehow needs to bring you to the 2nd stanza as well, and still have something close to the 1st stanza's rhyme or style.
Peace!
