Crossed into Spain today. Completely uneventful. Barcelona driving has been hell.

Getting out of Paris was also hell. However, highways are MUCH easier, as are small towns. Saw the historical cities of Provins and Carcassonne, as well as Lyon and Paris.

Paris Metro is crazy weird. Everything that country does is in stars and circles, like spider webs. IT TRAPS YOU INSIDE.

Lots of very pretty countryside. Tomorrow, huge amounts of sunscreen and the beach (la playa).

Sadly for the World of Darkness, the US and Canada will never have anything as cool as the catacombs or huge subterranean networks where they kept sick people, carded wool, and had holy men go for religious contemplation.

Random trivia tidbit: I'm told that that's why Paris does not and won't ever have skyscrapers - the underground areas are so full of catacombs and other tunnelling that the ground literally couldn't support their weight without collapsing.

Sounds rather like Juneau, come to think of it...although the lack of density in our soil is natural (we're sitting on a humongous peat bog), rather than artificial. Makes building stuff here pretty expensive.

That's because Paris was built by Malkavians and Nosferatu.
