50 Books Challenge - Update

I'm also including screenplays. I figure plays would count too, so this is fair.

Currently reading: something by Kathy Acker - Empire of the Senseless (which I think I am only reading to punish myself), and Book 2 of The Dresden Files. I'll probably snap up another screenplay sometime this week. 1/5 done, ~11 months to go. Woot.

If you haven't read Catch-22 I highly suggest it. Only book to take me from from suicidal to bursting with joy within fifty pages.

Were you suicidal before picking up the book, or did that come with the book also? (Seriously, I don't want to read something that's going to depress me further right now.)

Did you post about black swan white raven already? I can't recall, but I really like that Fairy Tale series so I'm wondering how worth my time it is to try and find a copy.

And shoot, but you're better than me. Counting plays and screenplays? For a lark, I'm counting 250 page graphic novels (I just can't read real books during lunch at work, too distracting), and I think I'm at like 17 so far ^_~

I didn't, but... hmm. My feelings were mixed. A few of the stories I couldn't even identify, they were so changed; a few had endings I found unsatisfying (the last one, the Death's godson one, was like this - it didn't really change much except Death's reasoning at the end, and I found it... odd?). But a couple of the stories were REALLY good (the one about the two wives - one of a pastor, one of a farmer - was pure comedy gold). So, I felt it was a mixed bag. You may have a better time with it as you may know what the stories I missed were on about. :)

And to be fair, the screenplays? Probably have about as much text as the graphic novels do, and I'm not even being distracted by pretty pictures. ;)
