NaNo Day 23, End

Just under 8000 words to go and seven days left. (I wound up being able to write on Thursday because Pat was reeeeally late.) I'm really tired right now, but part of me is saying "do it... write at least SOME of that!"

I mean, according to my wonderful little spreadsheet program here, I can bang out about 900 words per hour (and that's including the 0s - if I don't include them, I go up to just over 1000.)

Because I know if I don't write today, I won't write at all until around 10PM Sunday... and really, that's a big hit to take, even this late in the game. I mean, I CAN recover from it, but it's like last-minute essay rushing, and I want to be done well in advance.

Besides... lesbians.

So, I'm going to take at least half an hour for me and my lesbians. Maybe try and hit 43000 even, giving me 1000/day to go when I wake up. Yeah... that sounds... *head hits keyboard*

It's an excellent point, though actually, right now I'm not writing about sex... I'm writing a (medieval-styled) noblewoman arguing with a priest of a martially-inclined order to allow a simple (in the intellectually challenged way) woman train with them to become a knight. Because otherwise she [the simple one] is going to go crazy.

But without any knowledge of what you're writing or the fact that you're even talking about writing makes it way better. It'd be like me saying, "Guys, I really want to make perogies for dinner tonight, but I have these tomatoes in the fridge that are going to go bad if I don't use them. Besides... lesbians."

Pure fiction, or some historic basis? Just curious, being a history dude. Intriguing idea, though. A little Joan of Arc-ish, but then some lesbians can seriously come across as being very masculine to the point that you really think they are male. I'd be interested in seeing her rise to knighthood.

The girl in question isn't really that masculine in appearance, or even in demeanor, really. She's just glorified the idea of protection to epic levels.
