Okay, Meimei tagged me with this survey/quiz/thingy, and as a celebration of finishing the SHAKESPEARE ESSAY FROM HELL (no really, who thought that A) I could find nothing intelligent to say about the supernatural in Hamlet and Macbeth and then B) manage to write 13 pages on that nothing intelligent?), I am doing it. So there.
And, if you check out the wiki, I'll probably eventually do it for Az, too.
The Rules of the Game
The tagged victim must come up with 10 different points of their perfect other.
Need to mention gender of target.
Tag 8 victims to join this game and leave a comment saying they've been tagged. (I'm not going to do this one - take it if you wanna.)
If tagged again, there's no need to post a 2nd time.
This says woman, but it applies to either gender (or none at all, or both...).
1) ...would be a geek. This is the number one priority in my books. If she doesn't read, doesn't game, doesn't watch anime/read manga [preferably the ones I do, but that's just preference], or doesn't play video games, we are going to have JACK SHIT to talk about. That probably makes me lame. Whatever. I just can't live with someone who can't respond to "Nuriko, Nuriko, you're still being gay!" with the correct response. ;)
2) ...would have a wicked-ass sense of humor. Yes, even if it's just Captain Randompants humor, although preferably not juvenile or toilet humor.
3) ...would be open with her thoughts and feelings. I really hate trying to figure out what people are thinking; it's an exercise in frustration.
4) ...must straddle the balance between introvert and extrovert. I need to be around people, but I'm not the sort for huge parties or bar crawls; I like to stick with a close social group of about 5-10 people that I see frequently.
5) ...would love my friends. I know this is a geek social fallacy, but if she couldn't get along with a few very specific people [Serena, SimonB, Pete Hamm], then... well... (This is not that stringent. If someone couldn't get along with those three, OMGWTFPSYCHOPATH.)
6) ...would have some sort of creative talent. Whether it be writing, drawing, acting, roleplaying (it's like acting/writing), or whatever... creative equals double plus awesome in my books.
7) ...would not be terribly driven. I don't mean like a lazy slacker or whatever, but I don't think I could be entirely comfortable with someone who would say things like, "Oh my god, only a ninety?!" or "I'm only making $70,000 a year" or "I am doing something 24/7". I need a fair bit of down-time, and someone that driven/perfectionistic would just rub me the wrong way after a while.
8) ...would smell awesome. You can blame SimonB and Patrick for this one. If the girl didn't smell right, she'd be outta there. (Note that this doesn't mean bad; basic hygiene is one of those base expectations, right? But some people just smell right, like comfort. It's the olfactory equivalent of a plush comforter covered in warm fuzz.)
9) ...would be open-minded. I think that one speaks for itself.
10) ...would be an awesome story-teller, both in the gaming and normal sense. It's just something I require.
