Bulletin: Firefly
Jul. 11th, 2005 09:39 amFor those that have heard me hawking Firefly to them, your time has come!
Anyone that is interested in watching the show needs to drop me a comment with times that they're available so that I can plan a few Firefly-watching parties. The show is around 15-16 hours, I think, so the "best" course of action would be to have 4-5 three/four hour marathons from 7PM to 11PM.
I'd be willing to do two "shows" a week, but I don't want to rewatch the same episodes four times in four days, so two shows is max. Maybe Tuesdays and Wednesdays?

Good Lord
Date: 2005-07-11 04:27 pm (UTC)When I first opened the DVD set and watched with Jeff and Jenn in the famed 202 loft, we went back-to-back and went through almost half the series in one sitting. If we'd started earlier we easily could have done more.
Starting around noon, a mega-marathon could be done by midnight. Remember, without commercials the episodes are more like 42 minutes each, so 15 episodes is about 10 1/2 hours. Throw in dinner, snack and bathroom breaks, and you're set.
Regardless, Firefly parties get three thumbs up. Watch this show, people!

Date: 2005-07-11 05:09 pm (UTC)My vote would be for Tuesday evenings, given that I'm generally expected to help my brother host people for Magic shenanegans on Wednesdays. I could probably work with Mondays or Thursdays as well. (Though, I imagine there's probably a reason those two days got excluded.)
The only days I'm really not good for are Wednesday and Friday nights (geekeries abound!), and just about every last Saturday left in my summer has been pre-arranged for other happenings. So, if Sean gets his way with the Saturday marathoning, there's a good chance I'll have to find another time and place to see Firefly.
Though, if it'll help sway your decision, which I believe (and fear) it might: If I'm there, there's a very strong possibility of Katie being there also.
