I hate driving while tired, I'm always afraid I'm going to crash horribly because of my bleary-eyedness.
I also hate gas costs, but that's a rant for another time.
Anyway, got tagged for the book meme, so
That there Book meme
1. Total number of books I've owned: Ever? Easily triple digits. I collected the Babysitter's Club books - there were at least 110 by the time I grew out of it. Add in all the other series I read (for example, Pratchett), plus one-shots? I'm betting that I could probably make my way towards the 1,000 mark (although, given my tendency lately to stick to what I know I like, maybe not).
2. Last book I bought: Non-comic, uhhh... The last one bought FOR me was The Monster Book of Vampires. Comic, Tokyo Babylon 5 and 7 (eee, I finally know how it ends).
3. Last book I read (from): I am browsing the Dawn Caste book right now. Tokyo Babylon 7. Non-comic or RPG? Aforementioned Monster Book of Vampires, though I did leaf through Dean Koontz's The Face.
4. 5 books that mean a lot to me:
-The Last Unicorn - Peter S. Beagle
-The Princess Bride - William Goldman (er, S. Morgenstern)
-Gate of Darkness, Circle of Light - Tanya Huff
-Bridge to Terabithia - Katherine Pearson
-The Fifth Elephant - Terry Pratchett
(Also up for consideration were Kissing the Witch, Emma Donohue; most of the other books by TP and TH; Damien by Hermann Hesse; the Nightrunner series by Lynn Flewelling; most any fantasy I've really enjoyed.)
Tag 5 people and have them fill this out in their LJs:
At this point, I think you've all done it.
