Update Update 1-2-3

alexmegamiSo Patrick is running an Aberrant game for Pete, Adrian, Craig and I. It's so good. Wahahaha! As Patrick keeps saying, "in the other Aberrant game, we had things like 'oh shit, we've blown up half of downtown Seattle [again]!', whereas here, it's 'oh shit, my voice just destroyed my roommate's bong!'"
Yeah, good times.
So the premise is that novas (mutants, essentially) started erupting around July of last year. We've all gone through our eruptions (no idea what Thomas' (Pete's) reason was; Jake's (Adrian's) was during a work accident of some sort; Jason (Craig's) was non-acceptance for a football scholarship; and Vicki's (mine) was that she had 5 minutes to finish an exam... which she was only half done. She got Luck, Intuition, and Boost for Dex/Wits.)
My favorite characters (outside the PCs) are Wings (who has big feathery angel wings and is gay), Aaron ('Mastermind', who can outthink... er... anyone), and... hmmm... probably Natalie, but just because she's mentioned a lot (Natalie can look like whoever she wants and is currently Barbie. Imagine rooming next door to the main character of Clueless. Yeah. No hidden depths.)
Funniest moment so far: frosh week, we're having a campfire, and so they're like "Jake! Play for us!"
"Yeah, play Leaving on a Jet Plane..." (says the muscle-bound zebra-striped guy who can lift double-decker buses)
"(Fuck... okay...)
Fourteen successes later (when five is the pinnacle of human success) he starts into something he wrote about how much it sucks being a mutant freak...
Eleven successes later half of us are in tears and the non-mutants are feeling like asses (well, except for the black activist... 'Four hundred years!)...
And then he gets up and walks away, the epitome of a cool rock-star. (Eight successes.)
It will be what EVERYONE remembers from their university experience for the rest of their LIFE.
It was teh cool.

In other news... errrr... stuff. *sleep* On one hand, it's good I'm not over at Patrick's; somehow, sleeping on my own gives me more incentive to go to class (er, maybe because my only incentive to stay in bed is warmth, as opposed to warmth and other things).
On the other hand, I want cuddles. *sniff*

So it looks like I'm going to my cousin's wedding (yay!) in December between exams... but it means I can't go visit Joyee and Steven until Reading Week. *sniff* *nuzzles them*
Ah well.
