I got pants! Finally! Mom bought me two pairs, so I have more than two pairs of fitting jeans! Yay!

...wow. Four sentences that end in an exclamation mark. Can you stand the excitement?

One pair is dark blue, and the other is light blue. Neither are carpenter pants, but I think I'll have to wait until the summer to get a pair of those. They aren't really in style any more. Boo. At any rate, I now have FOUR pairs of pants that fit. Isn't it amazingly wonderful?

In other news, I was thinking about my cat that died. Thinking about Frisky makes me kind of sad, but more because of what happened during that weekend. And, well, he was my cat. I named him, because he leapt at my sweater's zipper when he was a kitten. He was adorable, and never loved me again once I'd brought him home. He wound up having diabetes at the age of seven. I was about fifteen at the time. Tenth grade.

My dad and I took him to the vet because he was weirdly lethargic. Even though he was normally very sedentary, this was a weird sedate for Frisky; he barely reacted when I picked him up. So we piled him into a box and took him to the vet.

They gave us a call back the next day and told us that he was diabetic. We basically had two choices: we could buy an expensive drug that would let him live comfortably for a year or two longer, or we could put him down. By the time we got to the vet's a few hours later, something - his pancreas, maybe? - had given out, and we only had the one choice.

We got to go into a back room with cages, and pet him one last time. First Dad, then me - Mom and Katie were at a school fair. then I turned around and Dad latched onto me, sobbing. It sounded weird, almost fake. I didn't really know what to do. I felt kind of detached from the whole process.

Don't really know why I'm reminiscing about it, but I figured I'd share.

In a third tidbit of news, my sister has to write an ad for an 'Elizabethan dentist'. Who comes up with these ideas?
