They tried to get me to work today.
Sep. 6th, 2001 08:18 pmSupposedly they had an emergency at work (I wasn't on shift) and they 'needed more people' or needed me to replace someone or something, I don't know what. But I didn't get home until ten minutes before my 'shift' would have started, and I was in no condition to work, and I have stuff to be doing. I called and told them that.
She hung up on me, essentially. Not my manager, but one of my co-workers. Right. Okay. Sorry I can't take over your shift so you can see your boyfriend or whatever. *sighs* That's harsh, maybe - I didn't get a REASON for this frantic call, though, and I too have a life. I just happened to notify them of that fact. And I was hung up on.
They still haven't got buses sorted out. More transit for me. Ah well, I've taken to skipping first (my god, it's a first for me ^^;), so it's all good. I sleep in for the low cost of $2.25 a day. And a half-hour trek home from Simon's bus. Blerg.
And I STILL don't have the schedule I need! Growl...
Meanwhile I'm being kept from all those that help keep me sane and smiling. I can feel the spiral starting up already. I've taken to writing random Sirius/Remus fics. And a story about God playing dice with the universe (damn my philosophy teacher and his quotes! Damn him! - he's great ;)
Quote from yesterday:
Mr. Cadham and Mr. Lowens sneak into my English class to retrieve textbooks.
Mr. Cadham: Oops, sorry, we'll just be a minute...
*Mr. Cadham and Mr. Lowens slip into supply room/cupboard*
Teacher: They'll be smiling when they come out in ten minutes... *smirk* *goes back to reading essay*
Ali: O_O I didn't hear that right. Yes I did. I LOVE THIS TEACHER <3
