Alex's con report! Waii!

Thursday:
Party was fun. Small (for me, anyway) - only 10 people. And 2 of them were out-of-towners Josh and Kirstie. Got much fun and cool stuff. Serena squealed over Josh a lot, and we decided Josh was DEFINITELY the most gay out of SimonL, SimonB, Alan, Danny and himself. I think the fishnet shirt and vinyl pants convinced us. *l*
I made him give me a massage. Actually, I made him give me several. Too bad he doesn't live here. *sniff* Siiiigh... ah well. He threw me in the pool, too. That was fun. ^_^_^_^
Friday:
Okay, what do I remember of Friday... my shoes hurt. *LOL* One of the first things I did was go and visit Kat - dropped in, said hi, finally got my copy of the Shadowlander's Dream prologue book... *g* And, most importantly, got my stickers. Dropped by the Yumi Touma autograph booth (there was like... NO one there...). Bought a FY poster.
I got a couple of snubs when I offered out stickers, but definitely the most hilarious was: "I thought that [ALC] was just an urban legend!" I got a gooood laugh out of that.
Dinner, then the Spriggan movie. I spent almost the entire movie humming "yaoi overtones! yaoi overtones!" to myself. Made Josh carry me everywhere. That was fuuuuun.
Got asked by some guy at midnight as we waited for our ride, "What cult are you a part of?"
*Alex blinks up at man* To self: 'Oh hey, I'm wearing an ALC sticker on my forehead! ^^;;;;' "No cult." Explain about con. Guy walks away laughing. It was weeeeeeird. *grins* But amusing. Lost bet about whether people off the street would take ALC stickers. I said they would and no one did. Not that Phi-Yen and I tried very hard...
Slept 'with' (read: next to/snuggled up against) Josh. He's surprisingly comfy for a skinny guy. (He's almost as bad as me...) And his hair smells nice too. ;_; Not fair... can we clone you, Josh? Pleeeeease?
Saturday:
Wound up being one very sick puppy in the morning. Laughed at Josh when people at the gas station tried to run him over, and the fact that he got a Canadian $20 back from an American $20 when he paid for gas...
Went back to the K&N Manga table for more stickers, as I had run out. Stickered more people. Was dressed as Xelloss. *gringrin* "Sore wa... himitsu desu!" Posed for pictures... Plotted and practiced for our skit. Skit was fuuuun. Will quote some lines when I get to Masquerade (seperate section). Stickered many people.
MOST IMPORTANT ALC-RELATED MOMENT - I stickered Yumi Touma (voice of Yui in FY, and Deedlit in the Lodoss OVA, and Urd in Ah! My Goddess). *grins* AND I got a picture of it... Ohohoho! I might get an ALC shirt! Wai! =^_^=
Wandered around. I didn't buy anything, I don't think. Not Saturday anyway...
Masquerade: We were entry 65/66. But, a couple of my favorite lines:
Zelgadis: Of course I'm still looking for a cure, you stupid Mazoku! *throttling Xelloss*
Xel: I love it when you treat me rough.

Touga: What? Where am I? Who are you people? What is this place? *clicking heels together and closing eyes* There's no place like Akio's bed, there's no place like Akio's bed... mmmmm... Akio's bed...
As you can see, it's NOT a good idea to get 3 yaoi fangirls and the 'spawn'daughter of 2 of the yaoi fangirls to write scripts at 11 PM with a pile of sugar in front of them. But it was fun. Supposedly we won an award for "Most Hilarious Skit", but we never got that confirmed. ;_; I will post the entire script (what I remember, anyway) later...
Stayed over at Chantal's again, again slept 'with' Josh. Mmm... hair... *-*
Sunday:
Ohohoho! ALC Catgirl Alex Day! Except... Serena never gave me my ears OR leash ;_; (well, she forgot the leash, but didn't give me ears -- I forgot too, though, so all is forgiven!) So at first I was just the cute chibi-lesbian. But, since I had a headband, Kat decided to make me cat ears! (Hence the original, signed, Kathryn Williams cat ears ;) So I wore those, stickered about 10 more people (we ran out of stickers! O_O Wai!) Drew gave me chocolate <3 My new best friend... Eeehhh... I sent Chantal out to buy me lots of stuff... like a Tokyo babylon artbook. ^_____^ Mmmmm... Subaru...
I also got... a story... except I'm drawing a blank and I'm too lazy to go look for it, but - a story Kathryn wrote. Also got postcards from Kathryn.
Kat (to some guy, in reference to why guys shouldn't draw lesbian hentai): "Girls don't squirt!"
Alex: "I'm going to pretend I don't understand that. I do, but I'll pretend not to."
Kat: "Right, you're the cute, innocent one..."
Alex: "Yup, that's me. Cough, cough."
Took a break from catgirl-dom to go play "Win Lose or Draw" (Pictionary with anime titles!) and my team WON! We were soooo good. We only missed 2 titles (CLAMP Campus Detectives - they didn't recognize my terrible Noboru (sp?), Suoh, and Akira *L* but no one got it so it was all good) and Golden Boy (the other team got it in like 5 seconds flat, we had NO chance). I, being verrrrry emphatic (for me, it was halfway Charades *L*), accidentally splattered a marker all over the board - not once but TWICE. With two different markers. It was funny, but I hope the marker comes out of my shirt. ^_^;;; My new MegaTokyo shirt... *sniff*
Went back to being a catgirl... had my picture taken... Was taken around to see people *g* Instant celebrity! Wai! Nyao! Feed that almost-Leo ego! Except Josh then proceeded to scare the living hell out of me by glomping me from behind, and ruining my cover...
"Alex! You're not a lesbian!"
"Hush you."
"But you've been sleeping with me for the past three nights!"
*Alex kicks at Josh* "Don't make things sound worse than they are! And it was two nights. Besides, cute chibi-bisexual catgirl just doesn't have the same ring to it!" ;_;
Kat: "Nooo! He's converting her!"
He did that just to annoy me too. Baka Josh. If he wasn't so bishounen, I would destroy him. Of course, later he said he could have proven it... but I think that was just to annoy me too, since he told Olivia that there was 'nothing between us'. ^_^ Bah. To spite him, I'm giving up men. He's only my revenge-lover because Chantal has Kirstie as a mistress anyway. But Olivia seems to prefer the revenge-lover to Chantal-spawnmother... hmmm... maybe we should divorce! Since it is a loveless marriage... at least from Chantal's side *beeedas at Chantal*
So, as revenge for him blowing my cover, I will tell amusing anecdote about how there was a spider in the car when we were leaving and he squealed like a girl until we got rid of it. *snickers* Then he tried to kill me when I started singing "the eensy weensy spider crawled up Josh's arm..." 'twas fun. Mwahaha. Revenge is sweet.
I will always remember his voice... "Kyaaaa! Kill it kill it kill it! EEEEK! Don't THROW it at ME!"
*a la Ron: closed eyes* "I'm trying to seal that image permanently in my mind... Josh shrieking like a girl..."
Note to self: get own cat ears and leash.
Other note to self: Buy more K&N Manga products.
Next note to self: Get pictures developed.
Fourth note to self: Josh's hair smells niiiiiice...
*grin* All in all, definitely one of my favorite con experiences. Can't wait to see the pictures...
