Went to see mom today; she was awake and able to talk, so we went in and said hi and such. Other than that, it sounds like she might get moved out of the ICU tomorrow sometime, so that's good.

Date: 2006-08-29 02:23 pm (UTC)She realized what she'd done as she completed it, freaked, and went to her first Elysium (there was an invite to it in her sire's bag, though he wasn't involved with the court at all) looking for the LS to help her find redemption (because she knew they were the religious vampires, and her associations with religion were pretty positive).
The LS took her in, the Chronos Foundation let her stay with them, and she's been involved with both ever since. She got a steady job as a dominatrix when the former LS leader who had it was torpored; she thinks it's good for men to realize there's something more powerful than they are. She's been using her extensive street contacts to manage the Racks and, most recently, get the street people away from Belial's Brood. She cares a lot about helping people on the streets who can't help themselves, and she's been using her abilities to do that.
She's a little unorthodox for the canon LS in that she believes vampires should be using their abilities to help the weak who would only be terrorized by being preyed on, as well as showing exploitative and powerful people what fear is. She hasn't had any trouble with the Archbishop over that, but she hasn't talked as much about that stuff with Inquisitor-General Kaine. It's going to be interesting seeing what happens with Kaine as Prince, and with the Chronos Foundation turning into a covenant, though Kari's been eager to set up an adjunct coterie to the Chronos Guard for people who want to help them out without leaving their covenants.
As you can probably tell, Kaye's a bit of a departure from my usual characters (though I always play altruists), but I LOVE playing her. Some of what I just posted (the diablerie and the last bit about the Chronos particularly) isn't public knowledge, but I thought you might be interested :).
