Oh, I'm aware - if I could properly read Greek or Hebrew, I'd probably sit down and look at the actual word used (I vaguely recall that the word [in Greek] that they're translating here doesn't appear in any other texts, as far as I know...]
And I do know that there are instances of words that have the same root/meaning being translated slightly differently [ergon (? I think) = either works or deeds].
My point is more that yes, most English copies of the NT do still explicitly (or not-so-explicitly, but it's easy to make the logical leap there) condemn homosexuality.
