Title

So, I was trying to think of a title today. Walking in to work early (8:30), I was very tired, so I couldn't come up with much of anything. About the best I could come up with was Long Dark Tea-Time of the Soul, but unfortunately, that's already been taken. (I'm betting that, even without copyright infringment laws, it would be too funny/silly/obvious to use, anyway. You know. Souls for tea and all.)

However!

I was bored, and typing things into Google (esp. Amaranth), and I got to a page that had recipes with Amaranth (the flower) in them. This got me thinking about food and eating, which of course led to such silliness as Recipe... for DISASTER!!!

Yeah. I'm not so good with the titles.

However, I thought to myself, 'well, why not call it Slaking the Thirst? That has drinking/eating connotations.' So, curious if anyone else had used it, I put it through Google.

The third or fourth link down is to various translations of Baudelaire's La Fontaine de Sang.

So, I think I'll keep it (liek whoa).

I am also up to 1100 words, although I'm kind of iffy about them. Will send it to myself for editing in Waterloo.

The synopsis is fine, it's everything else I'm going "meh" on...

When I say 'thought to myself', it's really 'said to myself' except internally because I'm not a crazy cat lady!

I mean, I could have thought out loud to other people, right?

I think out loud to other people all of the time. But I justify it because I read an article in the newspaper once which claimed that people who speak their thoughts aloud are actually more sane than those who don't. Speaking aloud to yourself is considered therapeutic. (or so I claim;)

My roommate once tried to say "said to myself" but instead she said "and so I said to my head" and now every once in a while someone will say "and so I said to my head: head? why does (insert person in the same room as yourself's name) hate me?"
