On so many things, too.

My mother's birthday is on Friday. Words. Cannot. Express. My joy. Mainly because 1) I have little money to spend on her, and 2) I have no fucking clue what to get her. What do you get your mother? I'm thinking pigs, but good lord her collection is already huge.

The writing has died again. I had it for a little while and then it left. Yes, I know, you "just have to sit down and write" until all the dumb crap is out and you finally shit out that gold brick, but I fucking hate the verbal diarrhea that this technique mandates.

There has got to be a better way!
Unfortunately, I still haven't invented that straight-from-brain-to-page machine yet.

Two and a half more weeks of work.

I probably should have gone to see that movie with Simon and Jason. Instead, I was a big loser and stayed home.

I do not think the Aberrant one-shot is going through for tomorrow, because I haven't gotten ahold of SimonL yet. That doesn't bode well. Especially since he still has 21 nova points to spend.

I never do the "Just write" techinique. If I did, I'd never want to write again due to the sheer crap that can form in my mind sometimes. I only put something down on paper after I've imagined the scene in my head well enough that I actually like it, words and all.

Probably why I still can't draw. You actually have to just practice and practice there, and I hate all the interim bits enough to never get past the first attempt.

Second: You could have tried emailing me about Abberant. I only check my hotmail account seven billion times a day. You could also have tried to use that dreaded 'telephone,' but honestly, you'd be more likely to reach me via email.

No advice really as to what to do with your mom's birthday. For Mother's Day, I made my mom a cheesecake; for Father's Day, I made my dad pecan pie. You could do something like that.

And speaking of birthdays, what's the deal with yours? Any official plans yet?

8:00 tonight. Sure. So long as it doesn't run too terribly late. Also, where were you planning on having people collaborate? (Assuming you still wanted to try the full one-shot thing, unless you just wanted to finish my character. Either way is cool by me.) Parents are gone for the week, and I doubt my brother will have qualms with people coming over to my place.

It'll be the full one-shot, hopefully not running later than 11:30 or so. (It depends on how long it takes us to get organized.) We should be able to finish your character off pretty quickly, I hope.

I hate to be a party pooper, but I don't think I ought to be out any later than 11:00 at the latest. What would the chances of starting a little earlier be? Or at the very least, could I show up earlier so I can get refreshed on how the game works?

...This is when I remember I still don't know where my character sheet is. This could complicate matters somewhat. Hm.

I should be home around 6:00, maybe a little earlier. Give me a phone call sometime after then, assuming you're home at that point.
