Q: Do you want to try for B.C. for next April? I'm probably not going to go to Japan like I wanted, and Zhao Yi and Steven are so cool, and B.C. is so much closer....... :)
Hmmm, B.C. next April *would* be good, I'm just trying to think of how I would achieve funding for such an event since I'm 'not allowed' to work during school... but, yes, I could probably manage *nodnod* So, yes. :D Trying for B.C. in April = goooood.
My parents want me to focus on my studies, and if I had a part-time job, it would detract from that. They didn't mind me doing the Italian lessons, but that was two hours a week. ^^;
Honestly, I wouldn't mind having a part-time job - extra cash is nice - but I can also sort of see where they're coming from.
That's kind of weird. A lot of Work-Study jobs are only 10 hours or less a week, and some studies show (say?) that a bit of work actually helps improve marks. (Increased focus or something). It's also good to have extra experience when you're applying for jobs once you graduate. I've never found it to be a problem - I work every term, and my marks have survived. :)
Q: What year do you graduate? (I'm wondering if we'll graduate at the same time because of me being in co-op and you not being in co-op, but I'm not sure.)
