Unfortunately, SimonB is away, so I'll stick this in memories and beat him with a stick and get him to reply later.

The rest of you have no excuse. Hop to it!

QUESTION THE FIRST

What is the most difficult part of writing in your preferred form? For example, when I want to write (as I do, right now, and instead am posting), I find that two things occur:

A) I have no plot. Or I have the barest bones of a plot, and perhaps three major events, and no idea how to connect them together.

(Demon feasting off someone's life force? Check. King who is running his newly-acquired country into the ground? Check. Rebel leader ready to kick the king out and replace him with someone less greedy and powerful? Check.

What to do with these...?)

B) I get caught up in character creation and then stop there. I could tell you the salient characterization points of each of the four main characters, their relationships, their motivations...

But I have no idea how to move them into each other.

Basically it comes down to the fact that I seriously lack plot.

QUESTION THE SECOND

What have you been told that you're very good at?

Supposedly, I'm good at dialogue. It [apparently] sounds natural and unforced.

---

And so I pose the questions to you! Because I am curious. Very very curious.

...and I'm avoiding writing. Damnit!
