Because there are some people that I cannot deny anything, I suppose I must post.
Moved in on Wednesday, built my table and 'dresser' (which is made of these really cool Mechano/K'nex/Big Builder-eque cubes that interlock), had Patrick come over and help me put up posters and such, and then went out. We went to Grand China (YAY!) and Patrick got us a cab because I didn't want to walk (so... very... lazy). Then we went drinking at Outer Mongolia (the bar part of Mongolian Grill, for the uninitiated).
Then I wanted to go home, but as we were walking, LO and BEHOLD!, Serena and Neil were headed for Sugar Mountain, so Patrick and I joined in. Patrick is scary when he has Mike'n'Ikes. Then, home for real this time.
Thursday, if I recall correctly, Pat had a dentist's appointment at three, so we slouched out of bed at about 12:30 and headed downtownish. On my rollerblades and his bike (aieee. I need a *bike*). Stopped by Gemini Jetpack, which I had never been to, to the following:
"See? See? I may lie about other things to seem popular, but I really do have a girlfriend!"
which was amusing to say the least. I want I.N.V.U! Damn my university student budget!
Then we headed over to Word's Worth Books and I browsed around until Pat's dentist appointment was over. Then I think we took the bus over to his place and stayed there for more or less the rest of the day. Other very interesting things occured, but nothing that anyone wants to hear about...
Friday was the Meet Adrian On His Break Day! So once more onto the bus (god I hate transit), we stopped for lunch, found Adrian, and basically hung out with him for a bit. I played chess against him, and we stalemated. Then he had to return to work, so Pat and I wandered around to some more stores, including a gaming store which's name I don't remember, and saw Cam playing Warhammer! Yay! Also, there were kitties in the store! More yay! I wanted to get my own copy of LotN, but alas, for $25, it was not to be. Yet.
Then, later, we swung by Adrian's place for hanging out/Craig's birthday, met up with Pete at Timmy's... I had fun keeping my candy away from Patrick, though Adrian was very untrustworthy and tried to give Patrick some candy. For shame.
Then we went drinking at Molly Bloom's. Grand Marnier should not be put in coffee. Bleh. Ah well. Adrian invited me to join the Rifts game he's running, so that should be entertaining. Craig was drunk off a shot of whiskey. (Foul stuff that it is.)
Then Saturday was buying books - I also met Ben-who-Patrick-went-to-Cuba-with briefly, and he seemed cool, and then the book-buying (except I didn't get all my books because I need to deposit my cheque from mom... sigh), and then we met up with Pete, Adrian, Doug and Craig at The Cove, and I played a couple of games of DDR and then watched the guys play Counterstrike. (Er... I think?) I took over Pat's controls for a bit and HORRIBLY DIED a bunch of times, though I DID win one round. Ha!
Then we headed back over to Pat's for some hanging out, I made my character for the Rifts game today (TechnoWizard with a PP of 25, yeah baby), and then people left so Patrick and I went out to eat at Sakura Island (so expensive! So tasty!), where I had tempura and rice and Pat had some sort of tasty beef, and then we had tempura ice cream for dessert. Yes, deep-fried ice cream. I know. So good.
And then, because Pat had not seen it yet, we watched The Emperor's New Groove. R0XX0rs! Tonight, if there is time, will be the watching of A Knight's Tale, which also r0XX0rs.
There, Simon. Had your Alex-fill now? ;) *huggles*
