Robert: It looks fine... from the back.
Sia: What are you talking about? You just don't want to say my hair is better than yours.
Robert: Okay, so we'll start a new relationship based on lies...
Sia: Oh my God... Alessandra, come in here for a minute. [I go in] Does my hair look better than Robert's?
Robert: Well, I didn't just get my hair cut yesterday.
Me: [looking at them] ...they look the exact same. [leaves]
Robert: A politician in the making.
Sia: I think I'm going to kill myself.

There are no words to describe it, though perfect might come close

Oh man, let me tell you about the night where I sacrificed hours of sleep, woke up the day after feeling like a zombie, and didn't regret a single minute of it.

So Patrick came over after work yesterday. His work, not mine. Yes, kittens, this means he showed up at 11 PM. Normally, this would have meant we had an hour together, but mom said the magic words:

"If you stay in and are quiet, he can stay later."

So we kicked my sister out of the basement, shut the doors, turned down the lights, and just lounged around and talked and laughed and cuddled.

I wound up kicking him out at 2 AM, because I was starting to doze off every time my head rested up against him. There was a five minute period where I seriously considered the suggestion to have him stay in the basement and drive me to work the next morning, but as was said many times that evening, my mother... "there are no words to describe the violence" and "I think I hear the rifle being loaded".

Yeah, best not to tempt fate at this point.

And after I closed the door behind him I went to bed, knowing that five hours of sleep was not going to be enough, and not really caring. And telling myself "I don't do that cute girly thing."

Okay. Maybe just this once.
