I just got this e-mail from my mother:

Hi Ali. I opened a letter addressed to you from Waterloo, thinking it was your marks. It was a letter from Dr. Easton - Head of the English Department, congratulating you on your fine achievment in the English course you took and inviting you to apply for an Honours Program in Literature or Professional Writing! Wow!!!! That's pretty impressive to be noticed like that, especially in the size of the class you were in!They are asking you to attend an orientation session on Wednesday Feb. 26th from 4:00 - 5:00 p.m. in HH373 where advisors will answer any questions you have about the programs. Check it out ( remember, oh psychic one, that both your mother and that Tarot card reader predicted that you would become famous through your writing! ) Go for it Lovie - they only headhunt the best and most talented!!!! Love you ( and it goes without saying, I'm so proud of you )- way to go Al! Love, mum.

Now... we all know I'd love to take the Honours Professional Writing... except that I'd be here for five years no question (possbily more) if I did, unless I stop my Psych major or take summer courses. Especially since I also want an option in SMF. So... I dunno. Part of me really wants to. Another part of me is going "you already decided that's FUCKING INSANE!" and flailing at the first. Because I do want that Psych major...
Of course, I also want a Philosophy major and quite possibly a minor in Classical Studies. I'm not cut out for work, I'm a professional student.
Time for more Word documents, it seems. Opinions always welcome on the double HonoursPsych/HonoursWriting with SMF Option.
