So. I was on the school bus (back in high school - all the old crew were there, except we were all dressed up as some posh private school kids - the guys were all in white suits with blue shirts and ??? ties and the girls... I wasn't looking at). Except the route we were taking was completely unknown to me. I soon find out why: it's a route IN ENGLAND. And who should be on our bus... But JKR's daughter (age 13)? And who should be walking her to the bus stop but JKR? Well, I freaked.

So, when the bus was dropping us off (JKR picking her daughter up), I lean out the window and casually ask, "So, Harry looks EXACTLY like James, except for his eyes, right? Is that just because of genetics?" And she looks at me sharply and says, "No, it's far more sinister than that." (DUM DUM DUM!)

Brief interlude: as she's walking away (strictly!), some older chap wiht a red beard (and a subtitle, telling me his name and where he is from) asks me if that's really JKR. I nod, and as the bus is pulling away, he's debating whether to follow her or not.

So, on the bus, people are crowding around. I'm coming up with theories, and finally I go, "Wait -- Voldemort transferred some of his powers on to Harry - what if he did that with his looks? WHAT IF VOLDEMORT IS JAMES?!" ((Which makes no sense, I know, the whole Tom Marvolo Riddle thing...)) Anyway, everyone on the bus starts buzzing about it. I get off the bus and walk home, pondering.

So when I get there, there's a DVD disc set waiting for me: three discs. One labelled James, one labelled Lily, and one labelled Harry. Excited, scared and confused, I pop the James one in.

[At this point, the DVD becomes a dream within a dream.]

The camera is following James and Lily (holding Harry), running through a dark forest. There is green everywhere; bright green and rotting browns. Vines, dead leaves... But also lots of vivid green. It's Godric's Hollow.
Anyway, Voldemort (who is more or less pure white, with patches of yellow on his face - it was creepy) appears between James and Lily (Lily is further ahead) and starts laughing. James thrusts him out of the way, goes beyond him, draws his wand.

Voldemort is having none of that. By this time, Lily is gone, hidden under the very outcropping Voldemort later stands upon. Voldemort floats, sinister, after a running James, then hits him with a curse that sends him flying into... Devil's Snare.

"Harry thought they were lilies, when you first arrived," Voldemort sneers, "and you couldn't bear to tell him otherwise. Now these 'lilies' will be the death of you... They're the only thing preventing you from dying." James suddenly sees that he's above a pit, and if the Snare releases him, he's dead. He starts fighting the vines to get out, but he hasn't got his wand and it seems pretty futile.

He's screaming about how he should have never left [Argentinia. That's what he says. There's also clips of a werewolf. I don't know why]. He pleads with Voldemort to spare him, and he'll join the Death Eaters. Voldemort cackles mirthlessly. "I need no more backstabbers." He shoots fire at the Snare, and it releases James; but miraculously, he has a hold on the edge! He's about to pull himself out, shouting about how he will kill Voldemort when...

Scabbers bites him. The sudden pain causes him to fall. We're certain he's dead.
"Now, Scabbers," Voldemort says conversationally, "Where is the girl?"
Scabbers transforms into Pettigrew. "Below you, master..."

Lily takes off for the house, Harry clutched in her arms. The DVD ends. I try to put the second DVD in, but when my dream wouldn't let me and I [lucidly] tried to do it, I was forced to wake up.

And if any of that winds up being true, I'll die. ;) [Not that it will...]
