Oh my gods, it opened...
Jun. 25th, 2002 03:50 amFigures that when I'm talkative at 3 AM, LJ doesn't want to open...
But, it's open now, so...
I have realized (possibly even decided) that I actually like people. Okay, sure, more often than not they piss me off with their generally low intelligence, or their stupid habits, or the many reasons they give to have us revoke their maturity cards, but overall? I think the few make up for the many in most cases.
With that said, Justin's mom is a BITCH! and I should really watch Queer as Folk on a regular basis. *sigh*
I'm actually going to make an effort to celebrate Pride Week. I think I'll start with multicolored shirts. Today was orange, so...
[] Red (do I have a red t-shirt? I don't think so...)
[X] Orange
[] Yellow
[] Green (not sure I have a green shirt... maybe there'll be a day cool enough for a sweater...)
[] Blue
[] Purple (again, no t-shirt, but I can prolly roll up sleeves)
[] ...I have no rainbow shirts... Maybe I'll get Simon to buy me a Rainbow Brite shirt ;p Right, Brown Sugar Daddy? *cackles* Maybe white... I refuse to wear pink, so don't even suggest it. But, I am open to options. White seems good... or maybe black. But black seems depressing.
Then, there is the plan for the movie-fest! I have a list of 7 movies so far. I guess we'll have to watch them before the guys leave for the Games Day thing, so I guess 7 is a good number... ^^ Anyone volunteering to chip in money/a Blockbuster card? Furthermore, anyone want to come?
Beyond that... um...
Anyone want to come up with questions for a survey that might contain some, you know, important information (i.e. not how often you shower or who you have a crush on)... Right now I have various philosophical questions and what your answers to them would be, religion or non-religion as the case may be, possibly branch into book preferences... you know, fun stuff. *everyone looks at Alex like she's crazy* ...what?
Y'know, I've been thinking about personas lately (she says at 3:45 AM). I have four major ones: the 'roleplay' one (Hoshi) - she is the original me-incarnate. I created her to be my 'magical' half, my gypsy. She went under another name - Mista - but she was the original avatar. She stayed, when all others failed. She's... kinda girly, now that I look at her. She was my ten-year-old self put into an 18-year-old body. But that's not what I've become. Given the options, I'm glad I am the way I am. The fundamental part that links us is there, though: strength. Even though Serena's gypsy was always the leader, Mista/Hoshi was the strong one. No-nonsense, but she believed (unlike #3, whose name I can't remember, but was Christy). Funny, how religious overtones came over even into that for her - Serena was a heart, I a star, but Christy was a triangle (and, later, a smiley face). Truly Christian to the end.
Then there's Ali, the one most people know. She's the one my mother created. She's the obedient daughter, the one that worries about the time, the one that goes to bed on time (or, at least, just reads in bed). The studious one. The practical one. The one that I am so close to shedding, but I can't get rid of the damn name. If I could get everyone to call me Alex, oh, the places I'd go. (Dyke March, for starters.) But there will always be at least three that I could never get to change: Mom, Russ, and Katie.
I have always associated more closely to Alex (my daddy's and cousins' name for me). More outgoing, far more boyish, a little more athletic, more competitive, stronger, prouder. Ali is the Virgo, Alex is the Leo/Aquarius split. Ali is studious and quiet. Alex is eccentric, flirtatious, and more fun to be. Don't ask me how - she just is.
#4 is Alessandra, and she's never out any more. Think Regal, with the capital R intentional. I bet if I started living under Alessandra, I'd turn into the Queen of Haughtiness.
Which is why I loathe Sandy - one of the ultimate Bimbo Names. Think how stupid I could have been as a Sandy. For starters, I'd be Rikku, instead of:

And, I'm sorry, but Rikku IS stupid and she is NOT cute. *bleh*
Porn should have plot, is all I'm saying. Sex for sex's sake, sure - but porn should have plot. Or at least be amusing.
It's now 4 AM. If I'm not careful, I'll meet my mother going the other way ^^;; (Me to bed as she awakens.) In any case, I'll sleep now. Mmm, sleep...
