Woo, three more goals to add to the list. Maybe today I'll do my PostSecret postcard (though I don't think I have anything appropriate for it... so maybe I'll do the fan letter instead.)
Keep up with the goal list here.
08. Finish editing the Vampire pilot.
This actually took a week longer than I expected it to, and it was... um. To put it gently, kind of hellish. On top of work and being sick and bleh... Getting the first draft out was hard enough; I have to be totally honest, getting anyone but Az right is hard. And apparently even she didn't come out that well, haha ;;;
Thank you to everyone that read either draft and gave me comments, and thank you to Brad for asking me to write it. :)
24. Read something by Haruki Murakami.
I made this goal when something like six different people mentioned him in glowing terms within something like a week. I didn't quite realize when going in that his work is described best as surrealist and postmodernist. :P
I read Dance Dance Dance because Katie had it. The first eighty pages did nothing for me and I stopped reading it for weeks until I forced myself to finish it... which took significantly less time. After the narrator's meeting with The Sheep Man, things pick up significantly.
Anyway. I'll write up more about my thoughts when I do my monthly book summary, but I enjoyed it well enough. The surrealism was a bit... mmrm, but overall I found it enjoyable.
100. Get a raise.
I can't believe I haven't mentioned this before now... :P But I did! And I'm officially on payroll, now! Which means that, thanks to taxes and EI and all that lovely stuff, I actually am taking home less per week than I was before :P But I'm making about $1.50 more an hour. So yay. :D
So that's my life lately.
