And another thing for Jen:

I also mentioned the Hindu wedding ritual of "Saptapadi" (which translates approximately as "seven steps"). The phrasing sometimes differs from what Wikipedia has there, but the sentiment on pretty much every website dedicated to Hindu wedding ceremonies (including the Unitarian Church of Ottawa, LOL) is similar.
