The shellfish and the pork issues are not so relevant when you're discussing the NT, though, since Mark 7 pretty effectively does away with those rules. Leviticus, sure. Corinthians and Romans, not so much.
And I would agree with the "social issues" argument, except for the fact that male homosexuality was often in addition to, not a rejection of, [married] heterosexuality. Married men recieving male concubines as wedding gifts and so on.
