MALPT! (Expletive)

Used to wish someone tremendous good luck. Abbreviation for the phrase "Merde A La Puissance Treize!" which is translated as "Shit to the thirteenth power". Origin unknown. Used as a friendly term. Example: a friend of yours is about to take an exam. You would say "MALPT!" to wish him well!

Apparently (according to medieval beliefs) weasels were able to resist a basilisk's gaze, and were able to kill them... wonder if JKR did that intentionally? (I know, I know - it's in in book 4 and the basilisk is book 2... but!) Probably not, but perhaps it's a sign that Draco really IS going to turn out an OK guy. *hopes* Draco~ <3
